Acupuncture
Acupuncture involves inserting very thin needles into the body at different locations and depths. It aims to balance the life forces known as Qi that are responsible for different health issues.
Acupuncture is a 3000 year old method of treatment that originated in ancient China. The principles of acupuncture are to restore balance and regulate the free flow of Qi pronounced (chee) & blood in the body. Theoretically if qi and blood are flowing harmoniously pain an disease should not occur. Acupuncture is performed by having filiform (very thin non-hollow) needles inserted into specific acupuncture points. Every acupuncture point has a job/function and is chosen by your acupuncturist with a specific goal in mind. Its important to point out that there is no such thing as a magic needle. Only a good Acupuncturist who can diagnose and treat you properly.
