Welcome! I'm Dr. Sofia Linares, the Founder and Chief Practitioner of Lina East Acupuncture.  I am a Board Certified acupuncturist and clinical herbalist cleared by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) as well as the Florida State Board of Health. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from East West College of Natural Medicine, and am a member of the Florida State Oriental Medical Association (FSOMA). I have a Master's in Health Sciences and Traditional Chinese Medicine from East West College of Natural Medicine, as well as a Bachelor's in Biology from the University of South Florida.

Driven by a deep passion for holistic health and a commitment to helping others, I've dedicated my career to providing the highest quality care to each of my patients. To provide the best care, I incorporate acupuncture, cupping, herbal medicine, dietary guidance, laboratory testing, and lifestyle recommendations to create customized wellness programs tailored to each patient.

With over 18 years in holistic health, Dr. Alma (Zoie) Torres brings a wealth of experience and warmth as an Acupuncture Physician and Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Dr. Z's journey began as a massage therapist, where she developed a deep appreciation for the body’s intricate mechanics and the power of a healing touch. This passion led her to further her education, earning an Associate Degree and transitioning into diagnostic imaging as a Nuclear Medicine specialist. In this role, Dr. Z utilized radioactive isotopes for detailed studies and diagnostic imaging, honing her diagnostic skills across a range of health conditions. This foundation paved the way for her journey into integrative medicine, where she blends Eastern and Western approaches seamlessly.

Dr. Z holds four national board certifications and state licensure in both Eastern and Western medicine. Her expertise includes Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Medical Massage, Homeopathic Injections, Medical Body Work, Microneedling, Cupping, Moxa, Gua Sha, Tui Na, as well as Nutritional and Dietary Therapy. She integrates TCM diagnosis with Western physical and orthopedic assessments, lab testing, and a holistic approach to health and healing. By merging Eastern philosophy with Western science, Dr. Z offers a comprehensive and caring path to wellness, dedicated to advancing integrative medicine and enhancing patient well-being. Her belief in a higher level of healing is at the heart of everything she does, bringing a unique and compassionate approach to patient care.
