The Lina East Program
This framework helps your body move out of patterns it hasn’t been able to break on its own. Most long-standing symptoms don’t improve with piecemeal care—they tend to respond to consistency, clear structure, and a targeted approach.
Initial Consultation & Assessment
A 15-min call to discuss your concerns and determine if this approach is the right fit.
If we determine this is the right place for you we will schedule an Initial assessment which will include an overview of health history, determine patterns, and discuss goals.
Personalized Plan
Offering a variety of modalities we will decide if you fit into the Herbal Medicine Program, Acupuncture Program, or a combination of both. We will also discuss lifestyle recommendations tailored to meet your body and personal needs
Ongoing Support
Consistent care with regular check-ins to track progress and adjust as needed

The Lina East Programs

1
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is one of the best-known and most researched treatments in Chinese medicine, used to address a wide range of health concerns. It’s especially effective for muscle, joint, and other painful conditions, and may be combined with herbal medicine for optimal results.
2
Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine
Chinese herbal medicine uses custom tea blends made from time-tested ingredients in convenient, pharmaceutical-grade powdered form—easy to take 2–3 times daily. As the heart of Chinese medicine, these plant- and mineral-based formulas have been trusted for centuries to address concerns such as digestive issues, insomnia, anxiety, depression, and other internal conditions.
Our practitioners are highly trained in herbal medicine, and we source our herbs from GMP-certified suppliers who meet strict FDA purity and safety standards. Your practitioner will review any medications or dietary restrictions before creating your personalized formula. Under professional guidance, Chinese herbs are a safe and powerful way to support your health and wellness goals.
3
Combination of Both
For primarily internal conditions, your practitioner may recommend herbal medicine alone. During your visit, your practitioner will determine the best treatment plan and sequence for your needs.
Your program may include a combination of both acupuncture and herbal medicine.
We look forward to supporting you on your path to wellness
A Few Things to Know Before Your First Appointment
-
Your first acupuncture appointment will last 60-90 minutes. Follow up appointments should take about 45-60 minutes.
-
Space is limited in our treatment rooms. Guests or helpers may be required to wait in the waiting room.
-
Be sure to eat a light meal or snack 1-2 hours before your acupuncture treatment. It's important that you feel neither hungry nor "stuffed" at your treatment.
-
Wear loose and comfortable clothing. If wearing pants or long sleeves, be sure that they can be rolled to the knee or elbow. Gowns are available if needed.
-
Take your medications at your regularly designated time as prescribed by your doctor. Never stop or change your medications without first discussing with your doctor.
-
Acupuncture needles are very thin and flexible like that of a cat whisker. Many people do not feel them at all, while some feel a sensation similar to that of a mosquito bite followed by a tingling, electrical, or aching sensation.
-
You may have a "spacey" sense, feel energized or rested, or even nothing at all after your treatment. All of these effects are normal and can vary person to person or even treatment to treatment.
-
You may return to work or other responsibilities after your treatment, but you should refrain from any heavy physical exertion for 12-18 hours.
-
Acupuncture is considered a therapy and works best when done regularly. You may notice some relief of your symptoms within hours to days after your treatment. Often, it can take 3-4 treatments to start seeing the effect. For chronic conditions, more treatments will be necessary to resolve the problem.
-
In less than 5% of patients, a temporary exaggeration of the condition may present itself 12-24 hours post treatment. This is also normal and can be a good sign that the treatment is working. Usually, this occurs in more sensitive individuals, those that are more "highly strung," or for those that are accustomed to suppressing negative emotions.
If you have any specific questions about your upcoming treatment, feel free to reach out and we will be happy to address any concerns for you!
